White
White
I plucked a flower from a tree
Then I forgot that I had.
(It was fat and grinning wide)
It waited for some time for me
For a glance or less;
Perhaps it cried.
Alone with a sun so sultry
Hurt by my affection
It shriveled up, and died.
I plucked a flower from a tree
Then I forgot that I had.
(It was fat and grinning wide)
It waited for some time for me
For a glance or less;
Perhaps it cried.
Alone with a sun so sultry
Hurt by my affection
It shriveled up, and died.
